How long will it take for my bike to arrive?

Shipping is offered through FedEx Ground, which is free within the 48 contiguous states. Once your bike ships you will be emailed a FedEx tracking number that will inform you of the scheduled deliver date.

Items that are in-stock typically ship in about 1-2 business days once the order has been placed but delivery times depend on where you live and other influences like weather.

Once order has been placed, a standard to go by is as follows:

Next Day Delivery:

2 Business Days:

New Mexico, Colorado, California, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and Idaho.

 

3 Business Days:

How do I track my package?

When your bike is shipped we will send you a confirmation email containing your FedEx tracking information. Be sure to provide the email address you prefer to be contacted at during the checkout process.

 

You can also view your tracking information online using the FedEx website. To do this you will need your tracking ID which will be included in your shipping confirmation.

What if I need to make special shipping arrangements?

All special requests or instructions will need to be coordinated and confirmed with FedEx directly. You will need your tracking number that is provided by us during shipping confirmation. FedEx can be reached at:

Riding on rugged terrain?

Never ride up hills that are greater than 15 degree slope with the motor fully engaged. It is recommended that you pedal assist when climbing hills and one should never exceed 500 wats of power.

 

It’s best to set the pedal assist to Level 1 or Level 2 or by riding with the throttle partially applied and watching the meter on the display to ensure that you regulate the power output so that the motor stays below 500 wats on steep terrain.

How long is the battery life?

How long the battery lasts depends on each person’s use. The average lifespan we see is about 5 years. A heavy user who drains a full battery every day may only see 2.5 years of battery life, whereas a casual rider may have a battery that lasts closer to 6 years or more.

How far can my bike go on a single charge?

The answer to that question depends largely on rider weight, terrain, wind and speed. Our riders enjoy an average range of about 30 miles for commuting in an urban environment as opposed to 20 miles for carrying large loads and driving on hilly terrain.

Can I ride my BAM Power Bike in Snow and Rain?

Our bikes are water resistant and can be ridden in the rain, but the bikes should be kept indoors wherever possible, and in a dry location. All of the components including the battery, motor and display are all designed to operate in heavy rain or a soggy commute, but one should take care to dry off the bike and all of its components to avoid corrosion.

 

In dry hot climates, take care to ensure the bike is out of direct sunlight. Also note that high heat can reduce battery life significantly.

How much power does my bike have?

BAM Power bikes deliver 750 watts of power on demand. The LCD meter displays all power consumption while riding.

What is pedal assist?

A 12 magnet cadence sensor is built into the drive train of every bike and it automatically turns on the motor to provide assistance when pedaling. Start pedaling and the sensor tells the motor to turn on. Riders can adjust the level of assistance using the on screen monitor from 1 (lowest amount of assistance) to 5 (highest amount of assistance) to math the desired speed. When pedaling, bikes generally in assist mode will result in a longer range than if you ride in throttle mode alone.

How do I turn my bike on and off?

The scooter is turned off by holding the “M” button on the handlebars. The key on the battery does not power the scooter on or off.

WARRANTY

How do I make a warranty claim?

When making a warranty claim, please send us an email with a photo of the part needed under warranty to (service@bampowerbikes.com). Please include a photo of the failure if applicable, and a reason for why the part must be replaced under warranty due to manufacture defect or failure.  Satisfactory proof of purchase will be required when submitting any warranty claims.
